Karen Haase, Attorney at Law firm Harding & Shultz recently gave four presentations to  students, staff, administrators and parents at Ponca.  Karen gave a presentation to the 10th-12th graders in the morning, 6th through 9th graders in the afternoon, staff members from 3:45 to 4:30 and the Parents in the evening.   

Karen commented that interaction through new technologies is evolving at break-neck speed and schools are affected by these changes. Disturbing, new technology trends like texting and social networking sites have significant legal implications for school districts that may not be immediately obvious even to an experienced school administrator or a school lawyer. However, texting and social networking has been a growing problem for many school districts.  

Karen shared her contact information with staff, administration, students and staff members if they have additional questions or information.
